Let's Talk about Sex: a quick check in and an invitation
Hi All,
I hadn’t set myself a clear timeline for sending out updates, but I did think it would be a bit more frequent than this. While I haven’t been writing this newsletter, I have been quite busy. About 3 months ago I gave birth to a brand new human and am quite smitten and tired.
But now I am coming back to work, back to the world, and am more committed than ever to this conversation about being sexually healthy, faithful people. I have been continuing my coursework towards becoming a certified sex educator, I am reading good books and articles, and getting ready to go to San Francisco in June for the AASECT annual conference.
Some of you have reached out to me, wanting to discuss various aspects of the intersection of sex and faith. I am going to start hosting monthly zoom discussions to open up the conversation to more people. Please join me on 3rd Saturdays ). We will start with a brief overview of a topic and then open it up. I will bring in other conversation partners as I am able.
The first one will be Saturday May 20 at 11am PT (12MT/ 1pmCT/ 2pmET- I hope you can join me. We will talk broadly about Sex Positivity and Pleasure as they relate to a life of faith.
Upcoming Talks about Sex:
June 17th- I’ll share about the AASECT conference and what I learned and saw there.
July 15th- Consent. Seriously y’all the church needs to talk about consent.
